MAY 20 Dave Mims,
President and Founder, Sophicity
Prior to founding Sophicity, Dave ran a successful IT consulting firm, Mimsware Corporation for 10 years, and held software development positions with IBM and Intertech Information Management, Inc. Dave decided that Mimsware should focus its efforts solely on city governments and the municipal leagues that service them--sharing its expertise nationwide after originating in Georgia. Thus Mimsware became Sophicity, which is a combination of two words: Sophia, which is the Greek word for wisdom because it was a culture that helped define modern systems of government like our own; and City, which says up front who they serve and what they love. Dave is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator, and a Microsoft Certified Application Developer.

Prior to Xerox, Smith co-founded and served as CEO of Advectis, Inc., the exclusive provider of BlitzDocs Collaboration Suite, one of the mortgage industry's most widely used solutions for electronic document collaboration. It enables a network of mortgage participants to manage the process needed to underwrite, audit, collaborate, deliver and archive loan documents electronically via an on-demand web-based application. Advectis, Inc. was acquired by Xerox in 2007.
