MAY 01 Open Mic

MAY 08 Rick Cost,
Chief Financial Officer for the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS).
  Rick returned in October, 2006, to assume the role of CFO which he previously held until January, 2000. He served GCPS in a number of key financial positions from 1990 to 2000, culminating as Chief Financial Officer. He left GCPS in 2000 to become CFO for the DeKalb County School System where he remained until October 2006. Prior to 1990, Rick worked two years as the Business Manager for the Newton County Public Schools and for six years as a Division Controller for Waste Management, Inc. He holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee.

MAY 15
Brian Pendley,
Associate Commercial Appraiser, Pendley & Pendley Appraisers.
  Brian began working with Pendley & Pendley Appraisers in January, 2005, upon graduating with honors from the University of Georgia where he received a BBA degree in Economics. He obtained the Certified General Appraiser classification, #282152, in 2007. Brian is an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and is currently pursuing the MAI designation. Areas of work include vacant land, general commercial, industrial office, neighborhood shopping centers, hospitality, multi-family, subdivision development, as well as various special-use properties.

D. Quincy Johnson,
Vice President, Digital Advertising Systems for Turner Broadcasting
System, Inc.
Quincy is responsible for the advertising systems development, integration, testing, and execution for Turner's digital properties that enables Turner to monetize content across both web and mobile platforms. He also manages the relationships and the integration of third party vendors and products to support overall digital ad sales success. Since beginning his over 15-year career at TBS as a satellites and transmissions intern, Quincy has been integral to the engineering and development of both broadcast and digital delivery systems for Turner. He is the past president of the National Association of Multi-Ethnicity in Communications' Atlanta Chapter and a founding member and former chair of Turner's Multicultural Advisory Council. Quincy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA in Business Administration from Georgia State.

Craig Baltes,
Enterprise Account Manager, Dell SecureWorks.
Recognized as an industry leader by top analysts, Dell SecureWorks provides world class IT security services to help organizations of all sizes protect their IT assets, comply with regulations, and reduce security costs. Craig has been with Dell SecureWorks for more than 12 years and has worked in a variety of roles from operations, leadership and now sales. He is an account manager for large enterprise accounts in the Southeast and holds his CISSP, GCIA, and several other technology certifications.

JUNE 12
Jim Hilley,
Vice President, Business Development, Xpanxion.
 

Xpanxion is headquartered in Atlanta and a leading provider of custom software development and quality assurance services. Jim is a highly successful sales leader with 18 years of experience selling professional consulting services, outsourcing to C-level executives in large enterprises and technology companies. He was formerly a Sales Leader at UnitedLex, an eDiscovery litigation consulting services company where he acquired 16 customers including four Fortune 100 companies in the Southeast. Prior to Xpanxion, he was part of the management team at Gazelle Consulting when they were sold to Adjoined Consulting which eventually became part of Cap-Gemini. Jim received his BS degree in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Tech and MS degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Illinois.


JUNE 19
Mark Yount,
Account Executive, Yates Insurance Agency.
 

Mark has worked in the insurance industry for 35 years in both broker/agency and underwriting roles. He earned the CPCU designation in 1984, the ALCM designation in 1985, and the ARM designation in 1994. He is in his 13th year with Yates Insurance Agency and works directly for both the Chairman of the Board and President of the firm.


JUNE 26
Lynwood Maddox,  
Attorney at Law with Maddox and Maddox.
  Lynwood attended Middle Georgia College, Emory University and John Marshall Law School and was admitted to practice law in Georgia in 1954. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Lee College, was one of the hosts of 700 Club for CBN and served as Int.'l Director and President of the Atlanta Chapter of FGBMFI for more than 25 years.
